EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Happy Festivus, I trust everyone had a wonderful Airing of Grievances and Feats of Strength.

I was pleasantly surprised by the wife this morning when I found this Sun and Moon Chaparral waiting under the tree.

Hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a most excellent new year.

The airing of grievances is a continuous practice.
I avoid feats of strength as much as possible.
But I did put the pole up this year!
Happy Festivus and a Merry Christmas to you!
Great present!

We had a nice quiet Christmas at home today. After morning coffee, J finished a bit of wrapping early while I hung ornaments on the tree

I spent the rest of the morning finishing work on knives for my son and a buddy. They're both really hard on their folders and all three pieces had been full f gunk, corrosion, a bit of rust, and wicked dull. All three were a lot of work, but all came out with nice action and edges, despite my buddy's looking like he'd taken a wood rasp to his blade. I sure am glad I bought that set of Diamond Matrix stones--especially the 250--though they're gonna require some serious cleaning now. Still it was nice to be able to pass on the gift of time, a modicum of skill, and hand back once again usable knives. Here's my son's StarTac, which also needed a significant re-profile.

Around mid-day our two on-Cape sons and K's GF came over, we all hung out for a few hours and exchanged gifts. All in all it was a nice relaxed Christmas. Hope y'all had a great day too.

I carried the RDD today and cut a bunch of tape and opened boxes with it.
