EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Morning. Back to work :(

So often, a particular day's carry for me is prompted by someone else's posts here. In this case, that began mid-week last with Austin James Austin James 's post of his Kapara with it's handsome natural canvas Micarta scales. I had a bit of a duh period at first, trying to identify the knife despite the fact that I own one with stock CF scales. Prompt two for today, then was ordering a similar set for mine from RGT (AJ's are Dept_13, but I don't do Instagram). Prompt three was my back-and-forth with M maxjeg about Russian fireplaces which led to prompt four, the inevitable ribbing I get from my friend bigolegator bigolegator based on my large accumulation of Russian-made knives. Lastly, after I carried my PJ iMamba yesterday, I saw Keyopp Keyopp 's post of his Micarta inlayed version (wicked nice, BTW, and something I hadn't seen before), which led to this celebration of Micarta Monday, pocketing my F3 Python.

Great looking knife! ChazzyP ChazzyP and thanks for the shoutout! You are right those are by Dept_13_knives on instagram and I went a little crazy getting two sets of the natural micarta and carbon fiber/copper backspacers and also a set of the dark matter red textured and contoured scale set. The Kapara is my favorite Spyderco and its nice to see people doing some aftermarket stuff for them. After seeing yours and all the Shiro's on dept_13_knives page I want one!! Anyway happy Micarta Monday..

Thanks to you too, AJ. I'm not sure what I'll do about the backspacer. The RGTs come with a matching nat Micarta spacer, but I'd rather have some contrast and will likely stay with the factory red initially. I ordered a 3/8" plain nat Micarta bead from someone I use at the Artsy Craftsy site to go with, but also have a nice red and brass bead I got from a member here as an option.

I like the CF on it now, but it is a little slick and seeing yours, that natural canvas looks both great and grippy. Looking forward to playing with the store-bought mods in a week or so....
