EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

The real question is who is your favorite princess?

My daughter has us watching at least 1 Disney movie a week...

Man that Higo is something. How is it?
Thanks. It’s good, but truthfully I baby it so I don’t know it’s true capabilities. Smooth as heck and the polished DLC looks great. If you have a chance to grab a Rockstead don’t hesitate - they make a wonderful knife.

(M)ono (L)ock (K)nife day? OK, I'll play😁 The BM7505-132 MLK D/A...one of the few coil spring driven D/As, and one of only two I've ever seen with a "dry-fire safety" that protects the spring from accidental firing when opened manually.

Decided to trick out my OG Shaman with a set of textured titanium scales. I'm very happy with the results! Did have an interesting experience with the install.

Being the lazy bastard that I am, I decided to remove one scale at a time and replace it. That way I wouldn't have to do a full take down. This worked well enough, but when I tightened everything back up the blade was off center, and there was a ton of side to side blade play. Since shortcuts rarely work I had to do the full take down anyway.

What I found was the factory had installed the captive pivot backwards on the knife. I bought it new and had never serviced it so it had to be the factory. The reason I had never noticed it before was they had pressed the pivot in with enough pressure to leave a burr in the captive side liner where the round was forced in against the flat.

A little clean-up, removing the burr with a jewelers file, getting the pivot in correctly, oil and assembly and the action is perfect. I was never in love with the knife because the action was too loose. After, it's got just the right amount of resistance. Will be getting a ton more pocket time.

Good lord Larry! Mine started to look like this a while back. I opted to get several large spyderpac, fill them, and store them in the safe instead. They take up a ton less space and protect the knives (easier access to your AR15 as well), and store the boxes in my garage in a tote. It's soon much easier to fondle and it takes up soo much less space. You will thank me later if you do this lol.

P.s. I also did this with my GEC as well and just bought little silica gel packs from Amazon. I just tucked one in each pocket. Never had any spotting and kept my wax paper and tubes prestine! (Stored the in my "knife box" tote as well.
I typically only keep the over $400 knives in the safe, or a few that are limited edition and hard to replace. The rest are in plastic bins, in the original boxes on shelves.

Maybe limiting my space in the safe by keeping the boxes with them will keep me from buying too many?
