You are correct…the “finishing” takes the longest…but the more love and time is put into the piece, the nicer it turns out…generally. Looking forward to seeing it all complete.

Thank you! I'm pretty happy with how it has turned out so far. Just need to stain and top coat and it will be good to go.

I've fallen behind on my posting and pics this long weekend as things have been busy here and a windy coastal storm, alternating between rain and slushy snow, along with a long day in the gym limited any good photo ops. I've also fallen off on my Shiro-a-day rotation with the arrival of the new Nat Micarta scales for my Kapara. I had my orange Hati with me Saturday but finished out the day with my transformed Spyderco, then carried it Sunday for a full day of youth b-ball games, and have had it alongside all day today as we got in some exercise and caught up on a DVR'ed cache of NFL playoff games.

Here's a couple pics of the Shiro and Kapara I snapped when retrieving some firewood earlier today (though it's now after midnight and Tuesday here) to help fight off the damp chill. This is my second set of RGT scales that have taken a folder that I wasn't all that enthused about and transformed it into something that I really enjoy. It's almost like having a brand new knife.
