carrying a chokwe I gifted my Dad years ago who recently returned it due to his cancer advancing so much he said "i no longer need this". needless to say, this one is special to me. it had some bad chips that I had to remove and a tip that took some work.

Man, this is the knife that got me into knives. I ended up with 3 or so of them because I liked them so much! I might need to dig one out and carry it for a bit. Thanks for the reminder of the early days of the money pit!

Finishing up the 9-knives-in-9-Days Shiro-athon is the NeOn UL.

This monumental undertaking, having suffered two days of discontinuity last weekend, has yielded the dubious benefit of pushing this last knife onto Throwback Thursday. Shirogorov's current model is the infinitesimally larger NeOn Zero and its variants. The original NeOn Lite as well as this Ultra-Lite version with its open back construction and S30V (or Elmax) steel have been out of production for several years now.

Put a new edge on the Native 5 today and my new MBK Mini Old Guard arrived also. The MOG is a real lookerv with the Wharncliffe blade shape. Can't wait to use it next month.
