Yeah buddy!
I missed all the daylight hours working today, so I begrudgingly submit this indoor pic.

I don't know if it was the light or the phone camera but I was horrified when I saw the edge on this knife when viewed on my computer, sitting on top of a strop nonetheless. I'm not an expert sharpener but the edge looks a lot better than it appears above so I had to edit to add this next pic.

Same here, lethargic and flipper is really unusable. That said, a wrist flick does it fine. Great blade, dripped mine from a ladder 8 feet while it was open, and lock held up like a champ. Knife had zero signs of the fall. How is the detent on your Ball Flipper? I have three of these, and it's too weak on all of them. It's faster to flick it open with my thumb or with my middle finger on the studs, than to flip them. I like how they look and feel in the hand, so I'm not complaining.

You could temporarily remove the scales on this knife and have one hell of a flasher for your fishing set up.
That was my first Spyderco I ever had. I paid then what I then considered insane amount on it - close to 150โฌ. I occasionally check it out on fleabay but they are too costly just to feed the nostalgia.
