Good eye! They are indeed smaller than the standard Millie scales. We ditched all the extra real estate to improve the blade to handle ratio & for better ergos/increased utility in my hand. I’m lovin’ it :)

Are they available for sale somewhere or something you modded yourself? I love the more proportional size!

Been mainly carrying Spydercos recently but decided to carry my Extrema Ratio BF2R today.

It's one of the most unusual and one of the sharpest folders that I own. A liner locking friction folder design using N690 steel that's scalpel sharp as proven one day when I sliced thru my pants and upper thigh when "learning" how to quick deploy the blade by flicking the tang off of my leg. Cut right thru both like butter. It doesn't hurt that it's also made in Italy, where they know a thing or 2 about design.

Just a great knife for normal carry as well as "tactical" use. :)

Thanks! We worked out this mod a few months ago. The new proportions, combined with the tip up mod have made me fall in love with the Millie all over again. Give a shout to Boomer52, and I think he’ll be happy to set you up. He did all the CAD/CAM work, and held on to the files, so he can zip out a set no sweat. You’ll have to do just a little grinding though, to fit a new clip plate in the machined pocket of the new scale, and knocking the ends off the lanyard tube to make it a captive standoff. I’d say go for it! :)

I had decided to go with the MP1 over the Crooked River, but @Inspiribomb who made the lanyard bead I've had for some time and re-purposed to the CR had suggested in another thread to add some O-rings to the bead's grooves to "make it pop". As I was heading to the hardware store on this afternoon's round of errands, I took the bigger knife along to fit the O-rings. Pretty good for a $2.47 upgrade....

A Tip up Millie sounds fantastic! Thanks for the info!

Found this guy marked down $200. Rose and I built a cabin summer before last with hardly any tools. Now we're gonna build a small house (368ft sq) and turn this into the shop :)
You are gonna love that saw! It's one of my favorites. I've been doing carpentry work from 1985 till now, and have used or been around most saws out there..... I call it the "King Daddy". Happy building to you! But, mine didn't come with a knife like that.LOL

This big guy fits inside my waistband in the front to the right side with the lock part locked around the belt and that's all you see showing a bit. Easy to cover with shirt.
The whole thing rides sideways with the handle to the outside of the body but still close. It's convenient to sit and I can bend down all the way. Easy retrievals with either hand.

I'm in the process of moving and merging two apartments in to one, and my Victorinox Fieldmaster has been on my side non-stop, and my serrated Delica 4 has been in my pocket for most of the time.

That's a real bugger as my Dad would have said.;) I hate stuff like that drives me crazy, even a small rattle or squeak in my car will drive me wild!
I will ask my wife do you hear that! Shes always says no, then proceeds to tell me to turn the radio up...... arrrgg!
You would hate my Jeep Cherokee. Squeaks and rattles are the only things holding it together.

When my wife and I were on our honeymoon, I started hearing a metallic ringing from the car I was driving. Naturally, I started to stress about a new noise from my old, but, trustworthy Mazda. I knew every sound that car made.

I ask my bride about the noise and she denied hearing it. The noise stopped about that same time but, came back a few moments later. Again, she denied hearing anything. Now, as you can imagine, I was really super stressed! We weren't anywhere near our destination. Again, the ringing came and disappeared, sending me farther over the edge. When the metallic ringing happened a fourth time, I was just about ready to orbit the moon. That was when I heard my lovely wife ask, "Is this what you are hearing?" Glancing at my wife, I spotted her with a huge smile on her face while she played with her necklace!!!!

Dang!!! That's grounds for divorce lol :p:D The wife and I usually like to go on a short holiday in September its cooler and fewer people around.
Heading east from our home to Calgary then turn South all the way to Montana. Once we turned South we both hear a squealing what the !@# is that?
Needless to say, I'm totally stressed all the way to Great Falls Montana. The return trip was even worse a higher pitch! o_O all the way home.
To make a long story short, The wife had taken our Subaru in to get the windshield replaced at some cheaper job-er place and that's what it was, the top edge of the windshield was not sealed properly.
