A new one in the pocket today courtesy of another member here; happy to say that this one is my first Griptilian and I'm also kind of sheepish in admitting it's taken me this long to own a Griptilian - going to go on record and say that I regret that it's taken me this long.

First one! Good for you my friend, it's a real rough a tumble knife, one of a few I don't mind messing up a wee bit.

Hey Keyman, is that an 0392? That sure is a beauty. The finish details on your knife are different than any I can find pictured anywhere. What's the other side like? ZT BW sure is a cool finish.

I love this knife.
Yes, it is a 0392BWBRZ.
However, I may have changed a few things.
Switched out the hardware to black (pivot screw, standoffs, nuts & screws). Made a couple black CF filler tabs and installed a super conductor LBS.

Did you know a standard hardware kit for a XM-18 3.5 will fit on a 0392 (& of course vise versa)??
Well it does, you just need to change the entire standoff assembly. On a Xm-18 that consists of a standoff/nut/screw; on an 0392 it’s screw/standoff/screw. The standoff assemblies for the Xm-18 & the 0392 are interchangeable, but the individual parts of each assembly are not.

Thanks! Part of the reason it's taken so long is because I've been trying to decide between the KW Exclusive (the one I got), and the DLT exclusive. Seeing as I wanted this for work, I figured the less flashy and more hand filling micarta scales would be perfect for that role, and the savings would also be nice. Still has the M390 though!

Inspired by @Crimson Cloud 's Danners and Daniel Walkers, which itself was inspired by @thefrank 's Red Wings and Giant Mice, I got out my Keens and thought it would be cool to do a Keens and a Keen shot if I hadn't sold that knife a couple weeks back. I did have my 0562 out for a Carbon Fiber Friday post, so I'll just go with Keens and a Kai, then.

Really like keens best all around boot

I've had a lot of different work boots over the years--some I liked and some that really sucked--but the Keens I have are wicked comfortable, I love the heavy rubber toe caps, and I can't seem to wear them out. These are my more heavy-duty pair and I've got a lighter pair too that are still going strong after four years and a lot of use.

I do have a pair of 9" waterproof Wolverines that I keep up in Vermont and wear working in the woods and fields up there, but my Keens can't be beat for all day wear on a construction job site.
