EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Thanks, B, glad you like it. I used to have the exact reverse of that scheme on my blue Delica with a plain orange cord, but altered that one to something different though similar with red/white patterned Desert Heat when I re-tied after installing the Lynch clips. You saw that one along with the Endura a few pages back.
Yessir I remember that one 👍🏼

64 degrees was unusually warm for February in Pennsylvania 😊

This Civivi Lumi is a little suppository of a knife. Hollow ground 154CM. I like it so much I upgraded the pocket clip. I am conflicted about the potential dumping issue but the folks at Kizer are really killing it in design and execution and we can only buy what we can afford. This little guy was cheap!

That looks great with the new clip. BTW, what is the dumping issue with Kizer?

Dumping is not specific to Kizer, and I don't know if they are even benefitting from it. It's just another Chinese knife that might be a little too good to be true!

Dumping occurs when a government decides to subsidize a domestic industry so that industry can bury their foreign competition, leaving the domestic industry with the global market to itself. When it was first explained to me, my little mind could not comprehend the scale. "That will never work!"

Well, over a hundred years it very well could work. There is evidence to suggest it has been working incrementally for some time.

China has been accused of this practice. When Kizer offers you a well-built knife for a dollar, and Benchmade offers an equally well-built knife with the same materials for three times the price, you need to wonder if the obvious explanations such as the cost of labor are all that is at play.

I don't think I am being jingoistic when I lean toward US manufacturers, I have been unemployed. But this practice injures consumers!

EDIT: Pardon the wiki citation, but their explanation is better than mine!
