Nice car. If I were a car guy it would be one along this line
Thanks My Friend! I’ve had many cars over my years and loved many but this one is hands down my favorite. Going on 9 months since I took delivery and I’m still looking for the long way to Any destination . Definitely the ultimate driving experience in all areas .

If exiting a sports car didn’t require me to place one hand on the ground, one hand on the door sill….pull myself far enough out of the seat to let gravity do its thing and dump me on the asphalt….I’d be driving something along these lines too.

Trust me, there’s just no way to make that move look cool.

I know this because I had a short-lived obsession with the new Corvette. Outta curiosity, I stopped by the dealer to see if there was any chance my bad leg/knee/back would allow me to actually get in it. It was rough, and I should’ve bailed right then and there….but I eventually managed to get in the seat.

Getting out was about as embarrassing as shit gets. I did something between a “tuck and roll” and a geriatric face plant….all the while insisting I didn’t need any help. I basically just spilled out onto the showroom floor.

After assuring the staff I was absolutely fine and retrieving my shoe from the footwell, all I could think to say was “Well, I guess that’s gonna rule out the Ferrari and Lamborghini too.”

So these days I’m strictly a lifted truck guy, much easier for me to get in and out. I still drool over a pic like this…..but I had to take my midlife crises in a different direction.

Wow. Sorry folks, my ramblings kinda went way off the “knife” tracks here.

Dumping is not specific to Kizer, and I don't know if they are even benefitting from it. It's just another Chinese knife that might be a little too good to be true! ...

I see what you mean. There are lots of ways in which the policies or actions of governments affect the knife industry. However, that kind of stuff is off the table in this part of the forum. With a gold membership, you can participate in our political sub-forum. On the non-political side of whether a knife is too good to be true...

Chinese companies have been making knives for a long time now, mostly as OEM for other companies like Kershaw, CRKT, Spyderco, etc.. A more recent development has been Chinese companies doing it themselves at higher quality levels with original designs, collaborations with well-known designers like Ray Laconico or Dirk Pinkerton, and direct feedback from and interaction with the community via social media. A few of those companies are even supporting members here on the forum.

Some of the more reputable Chinese companies making quality knives include Kizer, Bestech, Reate, Kansept, and WE (including the Civivi and Sencut sub-brands). Some of those companies are also doing OEM work more openly for the likes of Olight, Ferrum Forge, and Monterrey Bay. While I'd gladly recommend any of those companies and there are other good ones, there are also some who fall lower on the quality spectrum or are straight-up shady. If you don't know a particular brand, it can be worth doing a little research or asking here in the general forum.
