Rescued my car and finally got her home thanks to a good friend ! It was still frozen and couldn’t even open the trunk had to roll her into the sun and turn on every defroster known to man kind 😆
Stopped and got some Mexican food on the way home too celebrate lol . Todays carry will not include my CRK Inkosi Insingo as I decided to give her a break since it’s been in my pocket everyday for over 2 weeks I think since it’s arrival a new record for me 😳
Anyway starting my vacation off to the movies with this carry today 👍🏻👊🏻

She drove really well on the way home with the xdrive even with track tires which basically have no treads except for 3 lines going down the center of the tire. The roads were much better but still a challenge when you got off the main roads.

Home sweet home she rests now :)

The celebration feast 😆
Well I mean, if you left me out in a blizzard ..I wouldn’t run for you either 🤔🤣

It would have been easy enough to pocket the new CruCarta PM2 again for Micarta Monday as it was still on top of my tall knife cabinet this morning, but I decided to switch it up after a bit of back and forth yesterday with Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery re my Firetac. This is my only thumb disc knife, which followed the ZT 0640 that I had found somewhat underwhelming and moved on from shortly after picking this RHK. My seller picked this one up mostly modded as is from AZCK save for replacing the hideous original "bullet" pocket clip with this nice distressed steel one.

I bought a blasted brass Monster Disc for the knife, as I'd originally struggled with opening, but found I'd have to file its shoulders to fit as it's closely milled and the blade's Battle Black finish makes it just a tad too thick. I've since gotten the opening habit down and prefer the stock-size bright brass disc anyway, so I'll probably sell the Monster when I get around to it.

How's the new Smock treating you?
I haven't had much time with it yet. Today is the first day I have carried it, and it spent most of the day in my checked bag while traveling. This afternoon I did have it in my pocket, but I don't remember cutting anything with it. It is fun to fidget with, and the blade is certainly sharp with very clean grind lines. I feel like the pocket clip makes the grip a little uncomfortable compared to some other knives, but that is a minor gripe. This is my first spyderco in over a decade, so I'll give some more impressions if it makes the cut to add to my EDC rotation.
