The great tenor saxophonist Wayne Shorter passed away yesterday after a long career navigating through several sea changes in jazz while always staying true to the music, innovating, and never compromising his search for true expression. The dude could sure play, was a member of or led some great bands, and was one of my all time favorites.
I grew frustrated trying to spin one of my favorite of Wayne's albums today as my trusty Arcam CD player has become much less so lately and I opened it up to clean and lubricate the transport rail. Unfortunately, I had no luck resolving its intermittent skipping and will take it to perhaps the last audio repair guy in this area Monday after describing the issue to him this afternoon.
Meanwhile, I had my Leader Lightweight on me for Carbon Fiber Foreign Flipper Friday.

I’m not sure about your membership to “Forgotten Foreign Fiber Flipper Friday”…Pulled this one from the very back of the knife drawer yesterday for “Forgotten Foreign Fiber Flipper Friday”.
Wait….time out: Am I allowed to get in on the Friday alliteration action? I know there are some pretty stringent rules. Apologies if I stepped over the line.
Time in: I think it’s the largest folder I own. Over the past several years I’ve found that I generally prefer to pocket smaller blades around the 3” mark…..which is why it eventually worked it’s way to the back of the drawer.
Anyway, it kinda felt like a NKD. I’d forgotten how effortlessly this thing flips out.
Alas…..if only I had a Citizen watch to pair it with. As I recall, they compliment one another perfectly.

Yes my FriendSucks about your CD player. Having seen you post many, very nice knives, I'm sure your audio system is quite nice as well.
We should have a "Knives on Your Stereo" thread LOL.
Heck, we even have a "Knives on Dryer Lint" thread. Haven't seen that one in a while.
Info on the fixed blade please!!!!
It’s a Haakonsen knife, the model is called Compact. A8mod, 5 mm thickInfo on the fixed blade please!!!!

I think Senior is probably the defining descriptive characteristic there, B. If I'm the Gatekeeper, well I'm just here keeping it open for anyone, such as our friend Z Zeroedin , who wishes to pass through.I’m not sure about your membership to “Forgotten Foreign Fiber Flipper Friday”…ChazzyP is the Senior Gatekeeper in Charge I believe

The audio system is"nice" but not what some would consider audiophile level, though I'm a stickler for clean, full-range sound. It's funny how a set-up evolves one piece at a time, so in one sense it's the same system I started with a long time ago in HS, but each component is several generations removed from the original or is a type of device that didn't even exist back in the day. Most of my stuff is just solid mid-priced equipment from a local boutique audio-video store that's been here on-Cape for 50+ years, save for several generations of Henry Kloss speakers in both my LR 5.1 system and down in the sheetmetal shop.Sucks about your CD player. Having seen you post many, very nice knives, I'm sure your audio system is quite nice as well.
Anything nice I have, while certainly not in the luxury category, was in most ways a product of those hands with a light assist from my noggin, though neither of those faculties function as well as they did in the past.Yes my FriendChazzyP is surrounded by very nice things but he’s also pretty hands on as well !!
