Yessir I’ve seen glimpses of your environment and I meant that as a compliment…You are Handy and know what you are working withI think Senior is probably the defining descriptive characteristic there, B. If I'm the Gatekeeper, well I'm just here keeping it open for anyone, such as our friend @Zeroedin , who wishes to pass through.
The audio system is"nice" but not what some would consider audiophile level, though I'm a stickler for clean, full-range sound. It's funny how a set-up evolves one piece at a time, so in one sense it's the same system I started with a long time ago in HS, but each component is several generations removed from the original or is a type of device that didn't even exist back in the day. Most of my stuff is just solid mid-priced equipment from a local boutique audio-video store that's been here on-Cape for 50+ years, save for several generations of Henry Kloss speakers in both my LR 5.1 system and down in the sheetmetal shop.
Anything nice I have, while certainly not in the luxury category, was in most ways a product of those hands with a light assist from my noggin, though neither of those faculties function as well as they did in the past.
Back on topic, @DocJekl 's post mentioning his SHF got my two full-sized out of the drawer for fondling, pics, and checking the action relative to his commentary re dropping shut. My PJ, or clean, version came to me as the third owner very well broken in and my NW Coast is now over two years old and nicely broken in too. Both are wicked smooth and easily flick out, but only the PJ will shake down at all. While I don't recall having either apart for tune up, I don't really expect them to become drop-shutty, as they're quite reminiscent of my CRKs in that regard.
I shot some pics grabbing fuel in the woodshed earlier this morning as we're having another blustery, rainy day here as both both off- and on-shore systems converge over us.
