I ended up putting taco bearings in my Southard and Domino. They still won’t win any prizes, but it did improve them dramatically lol.
Great looking hardware effort planned! Nice work!I was planning to clear all the wood from the 40 foot double Y we took off the tree yesterday and at least prep for dropping the rest today, which is about a 60-footer but now largely a single stem with a high, depleted Y for a crown. I ended up getting side-tracked though, working on my wife's little battery-powered chain saw which was pretty gummed up and dreadfully dull. After cleaning, it took about 8 strokes per tooth to get it right plus a couple swipes per raker. I did use it after to section up most of what we'd dropped which comprised around 50% of the tree above 15 feet. The rest of that already dropped will require one of my Jonsereds as there's a fair amount of decent sized, split-able firewood there.
I pocketed my XM18 Dragon today in anticipation of needing a stout work knife, though I mostly used it in the shop for light duty while working on saws.

As I went through my wife's little B&D I did a double-take realizing that the mid-sized knife I carried was bigger than the saw's bar...

...though it's smaller than the 14-incher on the pole pruner and certainly dwarfed by the overall size of that machine.
