I had a house like that once. I pulled the carpet up to replace and it revealed the beautiful worn hardwood underneath. I didn’t know any better at the time so I called my dad to tell him and ask if it was something we could work with. That ended up being gorgeous after sanding, a little filler putty, and then sealing. I bet you’re busy with the house and I bet you’re having funny with it.Haven't posted much lately as I've been busy working on the house. Making progress though.
What kind of monster covers floors like these with carpet? In need of some TLC, but I'll take worn hardwood with some character over carpet any day. At least it served for a dropcloth while we painted. BTW, as much as I appreciate the good ole US made Stanley utility knife, I gotta say that the Knipex really excelled at the task. Having that extra supported blade length was a big help cutting the carpet and pad at once into manageable rolls (slid a big piece of cardboard from a shop-vac box underneath to protect the wood). Anyhow, carpet's gone now.
