12 lb test?
Hubba hubba. What am I drooling over here? Very unique looking knife!
Alan Davis custom. Alabama damascus, Corsican ram horn handles, filed spine, jeweled liners and clip. Just came yesterday. Ball bearing pivot, amazing action. It was dry from sitting in a safe but a drop of CLP in the pivot and detent ball and holy moly.Hubba hubba. What am I drooling over here? Very unique looking knife!

Great tools. I like my saws red too.So, I finally tackled that tree in our side yard today. The short story is that after much prep, measurement, and figuring to get the 60-footer down within a 10-12 foot window between the rose bushes and the basketball hoop, the rope, snatch block, truck approach failed. Fortunately I had my notch and back cuts right, used three wedges and it fell right where we wanted despite having left too narrow a hinge. We got the scraggly upper branches cleared off, I bucked up the upper mains, J got the driveway cleaned up, and we loaded up what I'd cut to split and stock tomorrow--bucking and splitting 30' feet of 18" DBH bole to follow after. J will then be able to set up her new garden with all the plants she's started in the spare room upstairs.
The large Crooked River seemed an appropriate carry for today's tasks. This smaller upper branch split itself on impact...
