EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Since I can't seem to kick the Malibu out of my pocket, I'm varying my traditional knife carry to add some variety.
Malibu and Hiroaki Ohta Wharncliff Trapper.
Happy hump day!

What an incredible pairing. That traditional is very special, thanks for sharing. BTW, I fidget my Malibu like a maniac, it can take it. And if you happen to run into an issue, Pro-Tech knives has the best customer service/warranty 😃

Today’s traditional and modern kit, a Wilson, wharncliffe, wood Wednesday

Thanks, Peter. Nice trio for you today. Reminds me to carry my Fall Creek. It would make a great companion to my Malibu!
Keep on flippin'! ;)

I'm fairly new to flippers, but I've been bit bad. I don't use my folding knives hard. I save that for a fixed blade. I guess I'll just happily flip my way through life, and if the Malibu starts having problems I'll rethink my flipper fanaticism. ;)
Flippers are great fidget knives no doubt ! I’ve never had an issue with any flippers by any manufacturer Wether it’s washers or bearings👍🏻
Happy Flipping :)

I do not get it. At least ALL of my knives are meant to be used. If the knife is damaged, it will be repaired or a new one will be purchased. If you just want to look at knives, there are LOTS of pictures on the internet or you can "window shop" at a local store.
Yup, I like to use my knives, save for a few that are hidden away due to sentimental value. That's why I didn't hesitate to use my Endura when I needed it.

The issue was this:

I asked the knife to do something a knife with a thin, slicey tip and steel known for chipping should not be asked to do. I don't regret it because the knife is not ruined and now I have a better understanding of its limitations. However I do not think the desire to use a knife and the desire not to damage it are mutually exclusive.
I'm with oldmanwilly on this. I like to use my knives too--for cutting stuff--save for a very few drawer queens, though some are used harder than others. That's not necessarily a function of price either. I've been working with tools since a young age and came to understand the "right tool for the right job" mantra as well as the concept of "use, don't abuse". Inevitably, a tool or two will become damaged due to the unforeseen, but generally if you wreck one beyond normal wear, then you've chosen poorly. I have the luxury of possessing many tools and they are often fairly close at hand, so if I need to do something beyond the reasonable capability of the tool I'm holding then I'll take a minute to go get the right one.

Never had a chance with their lottery system, but their pre-order method made this possible. I don’t usually drool over knives or get that ‘wow’ factor anymore, but this certainly is the nicest sub-3” knife I’ve handled.

Jelly!!

Got the chilie plants and vegis transplanted. Had the UF2 in case any of them got out of line lol.

Usually do Habaneros and Caribbean reds also, will have to see what’s available still at my local nursery. Have a few more spots to fill.

Looking back I wish I would have taken the time to seal or paint the wood obviously.
