How’s the finger?Day 4 of my 4 day weekend.

A bit tender but doing well thank you! You wouldn’t believe how many things you bump with the tip of your thumb!!!How’s the finger?
Yeah I see so many models blow it with their choice of pocket clips on an otherwise great knife. That is a reflection. The finish is still intact on both the blade and handle, with only a couple very small scratches on the handle. I have only had this one for 2 weeks, so not a whole lot of carry time yet. It is being used though. Couple more pictures trying to show finish better.

First impressions are:
1. The blade is awesome. Scary sharp, great finish. Only issue with the blade I have is the grind makes it pretty thick behind the edge. Opening packages, cutting rope, etc. this is one of the best knife I have used. For cutting up some food, it doesn’t work very well. Fine for sausage, not great for food prep on cheese, potatoes, etc.
2. Action is very smooth. Better than Sebenza and Spartan, which is saying a lot for me. Not a flipper, slow roll open only.
3. Handle is slick, almost too slick. The jimping on the blade is well placed and helps, but this is not a knife I would take fishing on a boat. Too slick.
4. The pocket clip is cheap, and creates a hot spot when using it. No big deal, but a machined claim would have fit so much better, especially on this level of knife.
Conclusion: I want another Rockstead. Most of my complaints are handle related, so I think a different model might alleviate some of those. I’ll report back later after I get some more time with this one.
It isn’t a deal breaker, but it is a disappointment given the asking price. It does work just fine though, which is the most important part.Yeah I see so many models blow it with their choice of pocket clips on an otherwise great knife.

Russian airlines allow you to take into the cabin a bag or backpack measuring less than 50 * 40 * 30 centimeters. and weighing less than 10 kilograms. But nothing cutting, stabbing, crushing, spraying, etc.Great picsI have to ask, 4 day work trip w/no luggage? What about changing clothes etc…
The 0350 is one good, stout knife and definitely a mini-beast. I had one of those for a few years, B. I liked it pretty well, but sold it in 2017 during one of those periods when I was turning over the collection a fair amount. Is yours all stock? I had de-assisted mine, converted it to open back with Gnoleb standoffs, and liked it much better that way.Good Tuesday morning Forum…brought out the beast…

Have you seen the glass breaker delete for the Shootout?I thought you weren't going to carry anything else that day except for your Herman?I'm glad you like the Jetpack.
I second guessed myself when sending you the "bird with knife", and grabbed what cheap knife I had laying around in the car to throw in for ya' - too bad I didn't throw in a Herman, eh?
How do you like it - Is it worth $300?
You don't have any issues with M4 corroding there on the west coast?
I almost snagged one of those on eBay but convinced myself to behave
APurvisBlades has a drop every month where you can buy a custom timascus clip and send your knife in to get it done. He did my Rockstead Higo II, and currently has my Shin DLC over there doing another Rockstead custom clip.

I like it a lot. I try to rotate in my Microtech UTX-85 and Guardian Tactical Recon 035 in the mix, but keep coming back to the shootout for its light weight, and the thin slice'y 3.5" blade. The action is not glass smooth like the Recon 035, but it's not bad at all.
I do have a couple of regular Barrage, but while I prefer the larger Griptilian to their Mini Grip, I prefer the Mini Barrage to the regular. I REALLY wish I had ordered the CF Mini Barrage when available, but I think they were not offering S90V at that time in the custom shop and so I held off. Instead of adding S90V they took away customizing altogether.
I will probably end up with a Super Freek, but probably wont be fast enough before Benchmade stops making the version I'd want.
