EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I really like the Wilson Combat versions of knives by several excellent makers and presently have five of them--two CRKs, StarTac (Umnumzaan) and large 25 Starbenza; two by Fox, Extreme Lite Carry Cocobolo liner lock and ELC Elite, the all-Ti frame lock version; plus the Les George Eagle. I'm more than disappointed that WC has stopped collaborating and selling knives. I kept missing on the Les George Talon version of his Talos, as they came in and out of stock new and I was hoping to hit on one off the Exchange. I would have liked a large Starkosi too, but didn't see the discontinuation of the collabs coming before they disappeared. I had a WC Hogue button lock, but didn't really care for it and moved it out.

I just looked at AZCK, and they haven't had a WC knife listing for 3 years. Maybe I'll find another going forward. Like I need another knife, right....

You have competition my friend! Lol. I’ve been hunting for a Starkosi for a few months now…but the asking price these day, I could fly to the moon with.

Will be my first and only non-inlayed Inkosi.

Happy hunting!

I grabbed my Benchmade 945BK-1 today. It's razor sharp blade, S30V, had no problems slicing thru my egg sandwich!

Okay. Now for my actual carry shot. A guy on Instagram reminded me that while I often include my pen in EDC pics, I almost never include the paper. Sure, it is sometimes just a folded sheet from a legal pad or a list for the store. I prefer to have a small notebook and I go back and forth between different things. I just started a fresh Field Book in this size, which matches the length of this pen.

I love the Pentel Style (a.k.a. Pentel Philography) as a twist pen but as with any open-holed pen; pocket lint can occasionally get up in there. This one is sporting the rich brown Energel ink with 0.7mm tip. It's easily the best brown ink on the market (at least for an EDC pen).

Nice setup. Because of all your posts of the Higo JH…I now have one in the mail to me. Even with the slippery handles, I just have to check it out. :)

That spring loaded knife is unique. Not sure how it works. The 🐢 does not look impressed

Thanks!

The turtles come to our yard every year to lay their eggs. There is sand under our grass and they know that. In fact as I type this, a turtle is digging her hole not even 10 feet in front of me.

I was quick with the photo, as I don’t like to interrupt them and cause anxiety. The painted in my photo was on her way back to the pond, so I didn’t interfere for long. :)

I’ll have to try to get a photo when the big ol’ snappers come up to lay. That is intense.

mate nice combo.
hellize hellize tinker? I do like his work.
Thanks for sharing.

Correct! His work is pretty crude for the most part, but that is half the charm. This one functions well, and was worth the scratch in my opinion.
His work always shows up well oiled and sharp!

Thank you for the kind words.

Ok what maker/model is that blade on the left? Looks like a Southern Slider/water turtle but you’re not in the South are you…😁👍🏼

Its a hellize hellize Tinker. It’s a cool mechanism. Crude, but works perfectly. That was the charm of this piece for me. I know his work well. I like the “old world” look and it’s a cool piece to own. :)

Not in the south, no. Haha. It’s a Painted Turtle.

Excellent! I hope you enjoy it. I stuck mine in my checked luggage this morning and have it with me on a business trip the rest of the week. Stropped it last night before I packed and it is just stupid sharp.

It really is a nice looking knife. I was hesitant because of the aluminum type scales, but a friend put my worries at ease.
Good luck on your trip and have fun!
Great photo too.
