First off, nice Hinderer!

Secondly….and this is way off topic and probably waaaay too much info, but….

I’ve got moderate OCD….not the “joking around” version…..the “requires mild medication and therapy” version.

Anyway, I’m that guy that vacuums the house every morning before I leave. Everything has to be clean and squared away; beds made, counters wiped….my immediate surroundings need to be as close to “perfect” as I can get them.

The carpets are a particularly sensitive area for me. If my wife walks in the bedroom after I’ve vacuumed I actually have to re-vacuum the room. Yep, for real; I have to get rid of the footprints and make sure all the “lines” in the carpet are straight and parallel.

Yeah, I know…..it sounds messed up. But hey, it serves me well and doesn’t hurt anyone. And truth be told, it’s probably not as bad as you’re imagining it to be. I’m not consumed by it, and it doesn’t affect every aspect of my life. Essentially, I’m just an extreme neat-freak and a bit of a perfectionist.

But I digress. The sole purpose of this long-assed reply was simply to say that when I first read the above post I got excited and thought “finally….another guy just like me!!”

“Replacing vacuum lines…..”. See where I went with it? Yes? No?

I’ll see myself to the door now. Someone just give me a holler when it’s safe to show my face in here again.

I was working on my old VW!
Truth be told I’m not a huge neat freak but it does irk me when somebody walks on the rug I’ve just vacuumed.

I followed up yesterday's small Strizh carry with the similarly constructed Leader today. Both knives' handles are basically two unsupported CF slabs with only a steel lockbar on the reverse side. The smaller knife's is held into its milled recess by one tapped screw from the exterior and one interior screw holding the clip in place. The Leader's has two exterior screws tapped into the lockbar, somewhat hidden beneath the clip.

Both knives are stupidly light, the Strizh at a mere 2.5 oz. The Leader was stunningly so for a full 4" knife to begin with at 3.375 oz, but following Wasatch11253 Wasatch11253 's lead, I removed its backspacer, bringing it's weight down to 3.125 oz. I also tweaked its overly stiff lockbar just a taste, easing it's forefinger-numbing flipping action to a much more comfortable, though still snappy level. Really like the open back way better too....

I threw the backspacer back in the box. Does that qualify the knife for Throwback Thursday?
