Today I went to a knife store in St. Petersburg. Buy something not expensive, just like that. My old friend works there as an administrator. He knows that I don't buy or use knives made in China.
He has been trying to lure me "to the dark side of the force" for several years now. According to the motto: "Chinese for 50 dollars, better than Americans for 250!"
I even succumbed once, I bought a good knife from Petrified Fish. Then he gave it to a friend. And today, apparently, was his day again.
While I was sorting through the shelves with American, German and Italian brands, my friend brought "something in the same style ..." only Chinese and 2-3 times cheaper.
At some point, he made me a little angry, and I set him a number of conditions. Satin-brushed blade, all-metal, but not steel handle, descents straight from the butt, carbon steel. The knife in the open and closed position should not have any movement / wiggle.
Price ± 50 dollars. And most importantly, "China" should not be written anywhere on the knife!
And a friend found it! I had to buy...
