Had lunch and a short nap which gives me the energy to carry my FAVORITE knife for the remainder of the day!



(Not the best, nor the most expensive….perhaps the most ridiculous, but a

I've been a seaside- to northern-New Englander too long to have any tolerance for heat in my later years, so I turned on the AC and went back into our home gym next door for my cardio work. All y'all southerners are welcome to derisively chuckle at my aversion to low-80's temps.

After PMing with Cwilliams563 about tuning CRKs and comparisons to SHFs, I recalled the other newer-to-me knife that struck me for that hydraulic feel was the SERE 2000. That one was a bit heavy for pocketless light shorts and T, so I'm splitting my carry between the SERE and the Eagle HD today, getting some tandem pics of the two by the side of the woodshed as I was transitioning from one to the other.

The action of the SERE is remarkable as it runs on Teflon washers with the Eagle HD a surprising easy flicker and closer for a lock back as I believe it has no washers at all.

This post made me chuckle, cause that photo is my brother carrying it! Haha! He did the portages on the entry trip. I did them on the way out. He is a smarter man. Haha.

I do like the blade profile, and it works pretty well overall.

The D2 behaves like normal, and spot/stains like other D2 I have.

This is the part I don't care for. I understand it's not unsafe, but I don't like when liners move when being used. Just my preference...

Thats just a 50BMG from PMC, so just mil spec
