Giving my SnG a break for the rest of the day so I can start giving this Matriarch 2 a bit of breaking-in time.

I've owned a Matriarch 2 before, so I guess it joins the small club of knives I've bought multiple times. This time I went no-wave, as has become my preference, and man I'd forgotten how much I like the Endura's handle. It felt good to pick up a Spydie again -- it's been too long. Seki City quality is still on point!

Put my 15V PM2 to a stone to restore a little edge aggression. Wasn't dull by any means, but it had been stropped a few times so went to the stone to put a little tooth back to it. 1000 grit diamond stone then a few passes on a strop with 1 micron diamond to ensure no burr remains.

Just got this Kansept Accipiter with the brass inlay this afternoon. It's one smooth mofo! I'm really liking the two Kansept knives I've bought. They are some smooth operators . And along with that I have my OG Kershaw Avalanche on garden duty. An old school US made Kershaw from the 2006 era or so. I carried this Avalanche for about a year and a half straight just before getting back on Bladeforums. This knife came out in S30v back when S30v was just about king of the streets!

Tonight's backyard dessert, freshly picked. The cherries are about done but the blueberries are at their peak. Looking forward to the peaches next, a few figs, and the apples are looking promising as well.

This is an Esterbrook Estie in "Botanical Garden". One of my favorite fountain pens! I can highly recommend 'em. Their nibs are that sweet spot between glassy smooth and juuuust a hint of feedback.
