EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

28 Nosler running Berger 195’s over Retumbo powder. Tack driving long range hammer.
Here’s a couple rounds compared to an Ultratech and a .223 round.
Not my best 100 yard group but will do better when I do my part. Shooting it suppressed I get more vertical stringing due to more muzzle rise VS. Shooting my Terminator brake which is closer to 1/8” MOA.

Sweet. What's the muzzle velocity..... I stopped.messing around with high.speed in the 90's after I got my 7mm STW...I was pushing a 160 grain A frame. Just under 3300 fps.....Smoking at that point in time.....
Was all set for pronghorns but then I met the red headed monster and life as I knew was.OVER.....
Happily divorced now for last 20 years but never went hunting anywhere but upstate NY after that.....

Thanks for sharing!!!!

Which sheath is that for your Fall Creek? Is it one of yours’?

Seems like a sweet little setup w/lanyard and bead. Nice Rockstead as well!

Thank you for the kind words. Really liking this particular Rockstead.

Yes, it is one of my sheaths for the Fall Creek. Wet-formed. :) You can find more information in my sub. 👍🏼

It’s only 2,980fps, settled on a mild load of 77.5 Grn Retumbo as I hit a wide accuracy node. I’m about accuracy not speed, but a combination of both excels. I have buddies running them at 3,200fps with the 195’s (heavy for caliber bullet) but the 28 Nosler is very hard on barrels. I chose more barrel life vs more speed. Very high BC on the 195’s so I really don’t “need” any more speed to get long range accuracy and consistency.

BC isn’t all that important for ~ <400 yards, before BC all the rage was speed to combat that. Everyone has different priorities and out in the west we can stretch that distance so BC is important.

It’s a custom built rifle on a Defiance Deviant UL action, Manners EH1 stock w/Adj. Cheek piece, Proof carbon 1:8.44” twist 26” bbl, Jewel Trigger, Hawkins dbm bottom metal, Thunderbeast Ultra 9/Ultra 338 suppressors for it.

Glad to see he recovered for the tonsillectomy.
Oh yeah back in full force
I laughed so hard at this D. 🤣🤣 My son went to see it with grandma on Wednesday.
Haha. Yea he pulled the lids off by himself and ready to roll. He helped wire an evaporator in a walk in freezer and I let him sign the inside of the cover next to the circuit number. Hvac service guy down the road will get a little surprise ha
