EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

No day-name theme today--just carrying the super smooth, sweet SERE which I used for tactical combat with some cardboard in the sheetmetal shop this morning, cleaning things up a bit before fabbing the copper head piece for our skylight boot up top. I'll spend a little time salvaging some of this old copper flashing as the oversized step can be trimmed, flattened, and re-used elsewhere. Pieces cut from the old apron and head could prove useful for some project or another.

This post has been sitting on my laptop most of the day as I was called away, then came back and did my work. The copper head piece is finished now and the flux is all wiped off. A piece that shows will get cleaned up more, but this is one's from a sheet that's been hanging around my shop for a long time, it'll be 30 feet in the air on top of our house, and the seagulls don't really care.

Showed up today.

Swedge is very sharp, as is the edge.

Lanyard tube is centered, spine lines up well with the handle. Nice finishing and balance.

Cons: tip is pointy but off-centered (not a big deal), and the sheath is way tight. I imagine if the Secure-Ex is still made with fiberglass, the edge is gonna get worn quickly.

Nice package overall though. It's gonna be fun to play around with.

Let me just start by saying I can't remember the last time I dropped a knife or a knife fell out of my pocket. Well today while unloading groceries, my small Sebenza 31 (my newest and most expensive knife yet) fell from my pocket and right onto the driveway....

It's a SERE, so Tactical Tuesday!

Used my Benchmade Shootout quite a bit tonight and in the past 2 weeks breaking down boxes, after dealing with 25+ year old medical records from 1998 and older.

It cleans right up with a Mr Clean Magic Eraser, and just a few strokes on a ceramic rod on a Spyderco Sharpmaker.
