I’m grateful to have access to several backwater docks I can use if I want to take a little break during the day. Unfortunately, since Hurricane Ian came through the backwaters have looked like pea soup.
What’s sad is that in a small inlet like this there’s still a chance of finding a car or large household appliance lurking just below the surface.
I figure it’s gotta be a bit awkward for a boater trying to explain another busted prop to his wife these days…..
“Really Bob? Another one?!? Ok, so what did you and your fishing buddies hit this time..…a sandbar, a rock…..”
“Nope. This time it was a refrigerator. A Samsung I think.”
“Bob….you seriously need to stop drinking. Do you even hear yourself right now?”
It’s okay, I’ll show myself out the door.
