Nicely doneHad a client coming in to the office today, so I had to dress up (somewhat) so I figured this would match my khaki's and brown polo.
Indeed it did. And also the type of small business that it feels good to supportThe knife could have been omitted and it would still be an awesome photo. If the burger tasted half as good as it looks like it should, it was over the top
Fantastic!!
Thanks for sharing!!

Very nice!I've been back and forth withmitchnola about Les George knives the last couple days, and one of those we discussed somewhat evoked my RDD which I got out to carry today. I've left some of my knife maintenance gear out on my end of the kitchen table recently and have been spending a little time each day on some of the knives I've carried this week.
The Dr Death's action seemed a bit sluggish this AM and I pondered breaking it down or just re-lubing. Instead I flushed the pivot out with isopropyl from a needle applicator, plus giving it a wipe down, which nicely restored its flipping action without further loading up the roller bearings and their cages with oil. I've also been using the SharpMaker fairly regularly for touch-ups as it's quick with minimal set up and no mess while doing a little more for the edge than just stropping.
Always a pleasure carrying and using this one, especially with it running free and easy with a nicely freshened edge....

"Amazing Views" is an understatement. Thanks for sharing theseGreetings! Posting for yesterday as it was a long day and also because of the condition my condition was in by the evening. My son and I went on a 10 mile or so hike (and up about 4,800 ft) to a beautiful pair of Alpine Lakes. Knives were the Manix2LW, the SE Dragonfly that is always in my pocket, Vic Climber, and my Benchmade something-or-other outdoorsy sounding fixed blade (I can never keep track of these names, I think this one is the Hidden Valley Ranch or something like that)
Some amazing views on the way up

At the peak looking down into the basin of the first lake (in the clouds at his point)

Down at the first lake

Then up and out, over another ridge, and a few miles more to the second. By the time we got there it was pushing 1:00, so I went ahead and broke fast with some bison jerky I had made the day before and a few handfuls of wild berries that were bountiful around the lake (up until this point I was fueled only by the black coffee that I had at the trailhead).

Relaxed at the lake for a bit before starting the journey back out.

Then stopped at a nice little spot when we got back to the first lake for a cold plunge

The Climber didn't make its way out of my pocket until back at the trailhead

Then saw some use again back at the pad, after picking up some Philly-cheese gyros and Zucchini fries from the local Greek truck.

Fresh picked fruit for dessert

Then walked over to the park just across the street from the house to take in the serenity of the setting sun on the mountains, and enjoyed a little live concert that was going on at the other side of the park.

I know what you mean. The small businesses are the best to supportIndeed it did. And also the type of small business that it feels good to support![]()
I like that little fixed blade. Who made it?
