EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Put Tungsten Carbide blades in the box cutters. They rated 120 on the BESS scale. I wonder how they will retain their sharpness compared to the laminated steel blades with TiN coating.View attachment 2286291View attachment 2286290
Who makes those tungsten carbide box cutter blades? I wouldn't mind giving that a try if they're not too expensive. Thanks.

I love the flavor combination of a ripe banana with a good cup of coffee and cream.

No bananas now but here is today's carry with some late-morning coffee.

I like the coffee cup. My friend just bought a Henry in .44mag.

Hope you use a spring tool to get them back in place, horror story coming. A friend was caught up in a massive lay off at the Nuke plant we worked at, I had enough seniority to hang on. He went to work for a car dealer in their shop. Was doing a drum brake job and using a screwdriver to set the spring. Pulling hard, the screwdriver slipped off the spring and right into his eye.
as a journeyman mechanic I tell that story to every apprentice working with me. Right tool for the job!
Oh man! Whew... Yea that's horrible man, I can see something like that happening, those springs are no joke! Yea, I did buy a spring tool from Harbor Freight. Not the best of the best quality of course, but it was a 3 tool set, one for pushing the springs for the hold down pins, one for doing what we're talking about, and a pry tool that worked good for getting off some of the smaller springs, and it works well for rotating the star adjuster for adjustment. 👍

Morning. Back in Mountain time for a while. Left the Bay Area Sun 4pm, arrived (east of Yellowstone) Mon 9am. Carried my DEK2 during the 16h drive and found a new AD20 in 3V waiting for me. Interestingly, it has no thumb studs - perfect.

Life is good :)
