Got mine bout 2 months ago from Indiana Knives and it’s just about perfect……..perfectly centered, action stupid smooth & screaming sharp.

You’re correct, a 707-1701 specifically. Blue starburst aluminum handles. It was an exclusive done for the 2017 Shot Show.

Yessir, it is. On the lock mechanism, one thing that I've really come to enjoy in recent years is something that DCA (of Knifecenter, and an all around excellent human being) speaks to as being some of his favorite locking mechanisms; namely a those that keep your fingers out of the path of the closing blade. I will always love the Triad lock, framelocks, liner locks, etc, but I've really come around to locks like the crossbar lock, button locks, Demko's Scorpion and Shark locks, and others in this same vein. This backstrap lock is fantastic, once I got the hang of it. My fingers stay out of the way, and it's super fast to close. I just want to be able to quickly open the knife, cut what needs cutting, close the knife, and immediately back in the pocket as needed. Depending on the knife, I can do this in a really fast single motion, so that way no one around starts asking questions, or freaks out. Out, cut, in. Just the world we live in and the environments most folks find themselves in these days.

Hadn‘t been aware of that style of locking mechanism…I will look into it…Thanks for sharing that
