Totally agree. I got the AUS8 too. It’s such a light easy to carry knife. How does it work? Pull back on the leaf spring-looking part?
I thought I was the only one who had one of those; (A.G. Russell Lightweight) I just LOVE it! I cheaped out a bit and got the AUS 8A steel instead of VG-10, but I really like the knife. I got the kydex necklace for it too. Anyone who wants a Delica, but a little cheaper and a bit more elegant and can go without a pocket clip; this is The Way to Go.
How are you finding that flat combo blade? It's a model that I like.
My kids have the same sandbox lolDefinitely on the SHF train!View attachment 2289579
You’re another one that takes us on a journey with each post. From what you share with the brothers makes this place a lot of fun and very entertaining'Twas far from a pleasant weather day here on Cape. It rained overnight and we awoke to a steam-fest this morning. By the time we got next door to the home gym late morning it was just beginning to rain again with temps in the 80's and the dew point over 70. I pocketed the polar-opposite Benchmade to yesterday's 94(3) in sturdier shorts with the revamped Adamas and took my first pics in the gym under the LEDs on the wood-grain Formica table...

...avoiding the rain under the woodshed's front overhang on the way back to the house to get a few more on some real wood.

Later, returning home after running a couple errands I snapped a couple more on the ladder out front while the sun tried to pop through the clouds. I could almost hear the steam rising from the ground as my glasses fogged when emerging from the comfort of the car's AC.

This Adamas is one helluva tank, but I really love its blasted Cerrakote CruWear blade both for finish and grinds. It still had its wicked toothy factory edge when I grabbed it this morning, but I gave it a Sharpmaker touch-up early for a bit of a finer edge, though it doesn't really show here in another pic from the gym.
