I made a delivery of a couple pallets and 2 big bundles to Monroe Prison yesterday. I wasn't expecting to actually drive up right inside that mofo. Turns out the main complex was built in 1910 and is pretty cool, yet ominous looking. Especially under the blood red sun of yesterday from all the smoke of the wild fires.

This is looking down into the "Camp" part of the complex. Everyone down there has 6 years or less left. It was pretty packed with people walking around making laps.

This guy was chillin out away from the rest of the crowd and tending to his nice sunflower.

This is just to the North of the main housing unit called the Twin Rivers Complex. Then there's also the Special Housing Unit to the West which I couldn't see from where I was at. This place is big.

Honestly this was a good reminder to me of where I would have likely ended up if I didn't get help a handful of years back when I was in the depths of addiction. Not because I was stealing and robbing and stuff, never did any of that, but just because when you have a serious drug addiction, you're bound to have drugs on you when you get pulled over, and eventually you'll become a known target which get's ugly. But with the grace of whoever's above I made it out of it to be doing better things now and am very thankful for that. May we all get help with what ails us!
