Today I had to fly 2000 kilometers to the east. Business trip to Yekaterinburg.
Naturally, all the favorite knives were left at home.
But the disease requires a cure. After looking at the maps, I found a hunting shop near the hotel.
I thought I'd buy some Opinel or Victorinox.
But when I saw this monster, the choice was made instantly!

I'm pretty loyal once I find an EDC, the Wayfarer 247 got about 4 years constant use before I switched to this Reate Horizon D. I figured it'd be kind of neat to see it go from brand new to highlights of what gets worn and well-used over the next few years. Last week was about 4 hours in the surf every day at Race Point in Cape Cod, only cleaning it got was rinsing under water and a microfiber when I got back each day. This is very impressive considering I was waist deep in saltwater and swirling sand for literally hours every day!

Thats a Chavez Ultramar Redencion 229 but someone colored the G10 scale to Red (I think it might have been REC) but don't know for sure.
