EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

OK, I was gonna post these for Throwback Thursday, but hung out with my middle son and grandson here from Cali, then forgot while watching Thursday Night Football. Seems like Z Zeroedin 's cancellation of a day got me in the end and then he turns around and calls his new Friday Thursday anyway. Oh God, I'm so confused.

Now that it's after midnight here I'll post yesterday's carries as if for Gary Fadden Friday and head off to bed....

DPx Hest Mr. DP for a….wait, let me check my calendar…..Thursday.

On a brief aside, unlike many of the Hest models that are made in the US, this particular version is made by Lionsteel (Italy). Not saying that’s a good thing or bad thing, I just find it interesting. No idea why they outsourced this one.

Cool Hest! The original Hest was actually made in Italy by Lionsteel. I remember pre-ordering the original, and I think they even promoted it here first. Moletta used to be on here, as I remember he did a pre-order in the fashion of a kickstarter to actually get the company started and produce hist first knife, the SR1.

LionSteel makes great knives....... Molletta still pops on to sell some fixed blades on the exchange every month or so..I live my triple black and hest assault II......👍👍👍

Yeah man, the Hest line are some pretty cool knives. I had the original one but unfortunately had to sell it at one point. That's cool Molletta's still around here, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. Have a good day my friend!

Nice boat and a once in a lifetime deal! Well done!

I had my Hobie Compass out on Lake McDonald (GNP) this afternoon. Perfect weather…but it’s the first time I’ve been skunked since I bought the kayak (July).

The compass is definitely the way to go. For a 12ft+ pedal fishing kayak it's "only" 68lb. My outback is 86lb and I skip taking it due to the weight sometimes. The compass is just as stable, little faster (both with turbo fins), lighter, and much more customizable. Seat could be a little better, but looks like you have the newer fancier seat!

Alright no more yak talk. Sounds like we need a yakking thread!

Ahh, thanks for the info. It makes sense they would celebrate a decade by returning to the original manufacturer. I’ve read a little about RYP but very little regarding the history of his knives. This sheds a little light on things. Much appreciated!
