Thanks VoltaireA USA made, lifetime guaranteed Kershaw Link in 20CV for which I paid less than $80 a few years ago and has been my only one-handed EDC knife for years (in my pocket throught the whole Damndemic!).
Perfection is the enemy of good enough and the serial killer of bank accounts.

It's not subjective if its the subject of a technical discipline at the core of the modern manufacturing we depend on. The definition of "Quality" is "fitness to purpose." In this context, if a reasonably affordable knife meets all my objective criteria for use and reliability and has proven itself in years of personal use testing, I'd subjectively be a damned fool to chase some mythical unicorn of better paper specs in one narrow dimension. When I venture out into the sea of commercial knife offerings for a new purchase. I find that once I get a bit beyond the $100 depth, the water can get a whole lot deeper, but it doesn't get one bit wetter! (I just bought an SRK 3V new, in a short run color, for $82,49 - just by waiting for the right deal - they do come along eventually.).And some might say good enough is the ally of mediocrity.
It’s all very subjective.

Call it Pareto, call it 80-20, whatever. From a business and financial standpoint it makes sense. As an enthusiast hobby not so much. It's not subjective if its the subject of a technical discipline at the core of the modern manufacturing we depend on. The subjective line was just me trying to be nice. It's not subjective if it’s the subject of a technical discipline at the core of the modern manufacturing we depend on. Just beautiful!I got back on my exercise regimen today and stuck my HAP40/SUS410 Endura IWB for my late morning laps on this Wooden Wednesday. After an afternoon working on youth b-ball admin I got out late in the day for some knife pics but had to take an awful lot as the reflectivity of the blade and spine make this one a tough snap, especially when trying to capture the laminate line while avoiding glare and getting the wood to show up nicely at the same time.

The first time I really sat up and took notice of of this Knifecenter exclusive series of these Spyderco models was back in the day when our friendabbazaba posted a pic of the spines of his Endura and Delica when those were the only two available. There was just something about the polished layers of stainless with the liners surrounding the lock spring and backspacer, contrasting against the wooden scales, that really appealed to me and soon led to a purchase of that pair.

I'm at three of these now, including the Police and have been tempted several times to try the Endela in this same exclusive version. I know there's at least 5 models of these now, including the Ladybug, as I've seen abbazaba's nicely fanned out pic of his collection. As I was digging around through older posts of these, I'll re-post a triple spine shot from some years back.

Thanks, my friend. Your earlier avoidance of argument for argument's sake is duly noted in this fun and cordial thread. Niceness is its own reward....Just beautiful!
That place is a zooStarting to look more like what I'm used to... I see some precast in there
The water and sun photos are better. City skylines are way overratedJust spent a week in a country that recently banned all knife carry. Glad it will be a while before I have to go back, definitely felt incomplete. Not to mention having pic backdrops like the one below that I couldn't use in this thread.

Nice to be back and felt good to drop an old faithful EDC set back in the pocket.
