EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Final submission for this week's lakeside, sunrise series.

Thanks for sharing them with us

Today was a work day and a multi-tasking one at that. My buddy was here to work on the last little bit of the red cedar roof and I had a bit of flashing to fab for that as well as being his ground man on and off all day. My other task was getting a couple coats of urethane on the Doug Fir components for my modest, yet head-scratching handrail project, which involved both time in the wood shop and then applying the finish in the former boathouse above as it's way too dusty down below.

I needed an all-metal work knife today so as not to permanently alter any G10, Micarta, or CF scales or inlays with a chance polyurethane encounter. I went with the Eagle again as it's even more of a favorite since my last tune-up has taken it from being a meh to an exceptionally good flipper. From the sheet metal shop earlier this morning....

...then on to the wood shop, here with my lifetime supply of cheap handrail brackets taken from my late in-laws condo as my MIL was disabled and needed rails throughout the apartment to get around.

I'll also mention that this is the second time in a row that mitchnola mitchnola and I have both carried and posted our Les George Wilson Combat Eagles coincidentally without plotting or inspiring each other to do so. Mitch's knife may be a safe king but mine is definitely of the working class, though more of a boss than a lowly laborer for sure.

You know, the M&P is similar to a Glock, it just works. I like the grip angle on the Smith vs the Glock so I've stuck with it for carry and competition. But at the end of the day, my favorite is a 1911 chambered in .45.
Thanks for the information. Might have to rent a couple at the range. Just working is most important to me for a carry piece. However, there is just something comforting about a 1911

I love 1911's but they can be a challenge for EDC. S&W, like Glock and others just have a wider variety of sizes for daily carry for different individuals needs.
My normal daily today carry is usually a Shield Plus, but I just got a holster that I hope will allow me to carry the full-size with the dot more often.

Not to derail, but check out Kahr's.....
I like 1911's and glocks.
Kahr is maybe between the two?

Late summer with the Bees.
What is your favorite season....Your favorite flower?

Definitely fall. However, flowers are a bit like knives, beer, cigars, etc... There are too many good ones to choose a favorite. Notables for me would include spirea, lilac, and locust blossom.

For today's carry, I spent my first day with The Swedge from Kizer's new budget line. It has decent ergonomics, good action, and solid lock-up. The pre-worn black coating is nice too. Not sure if I like the black and tan motiff so it could be up for a dye job...

It’s been years since I’ve been to the Lookout. If you would’ve driven up there yesterday, you would’ve driven right past me as I was up by Mowich lake.

Whaaat?!? Too cool! That's wild because it was yesterday we were up there and we did fool around at Mowich Lake for a bit, so there's a good chance we were in the same vicinity at the same time.
