Thanks. I’ve been debating on putting my dSLR in by backpack I take to work instead of using my phone all the time. That and a 50mm is pretty compact.

Lots of different little tasks today. Finished up a copper flashing job --aprons, corners, and step for two big shed dormers. Found a couple more old chisels to sharpen along with a beat up cats paw. Waxed my table saws and did some maintenance on the shop chop saw. Tightened things up a little in the construction trailer and used my Superleaf to cut down old nail boxes. I'm not a big fan of VG10, but it sure gets real sharp real easy and that big FFG blade just flies through cardboard. Lot to like about that knife--great in hand, super action, plus the compression lock.

That is indeed a pipe vise. Its being used to breakdown an MWD probe for maintainance. The probe/tool string looks like a pipe but is filled with high tech electronics, accelorometers and magnetometer sensors. It is essentially a GPS for drilling oil and gas wells that aids the driller in what direction to drill using inclination and azimuth along with other data. Its an interesting profession even after a decade plus.
