Brass bolster?
I’ve begun to form the opinion that the Po’boye are just needlessly extra heavy...
Yes, solid brass. Looks amazing, but scratches easily due to being relatively soft.
I never had any weight issues with a Ti bolster Po-boy, compared to a custom it's about the same... but these brass bolsters must weigh as much as the whole knife itself. I knew they'd be heavier, but I didnt think this much. They do look good though.
I think milling out pockets on the inside would help, but that's too much effort.
