EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Mr. Rufus is packing a bareknuckle today!

Carried my new CJRB Pyrite today.

This is my first post on the forum so I'll introduce myself. I got bit by the knife bug again, I thought I was cured and have been out of the knife world for maybe 10 years (the big new thing was the XM-18), I was young and poor and the mini griptillian was the fanciest thing I could afford (and more than I would possibly have needed.)

Now the other day I'm in my garage looking at a hose and thinking about I should be careful cutting it with my Victorinox 91mm so I don't damage the blade and suddenly I'm subscribed to 8 knife reviewers on YouTube and a $400 knife doesn't sound so crazy.

It's been a trip learning about what I've missed the past 10 years but probably for the best because I sure didn't need an expensive hobby all this time.

Anyway I bought this Pyrite last week and have been carrying it since then and it's an incredible knife for the money, I started making a list of knives I'd like to own and it's already probably $2000 deep, and someone talk me out of adding one of these James Company Barnes integrals to the list they are gorgeous.

Exercising self-control for now but it's amazing how things have changed in the production knife world since I last looked in.

Congrats! and welcome to the forum/rabbit hole. I started similar to you with a Pyrite and an Iridium. Then, I learned about BCCI and started collecting those. Then, I found out about CRK and had to test that (now at 5 and counting into that hole). Spyderco was next and I'm quite a ways down that hole also. And, let's not forget some other brands and traditionals added to that mix. From just a few knives at the beginning, I'm probably closer to 50 now. It's a bit scary that it hasn't really been that long.

If you're looking for someone to talk you out of something, it would only be to talk you into something else. The folks here are expert at that. 😂

One last thing, the gold membership is inexpensive compared to all of the knives you will buy. It may be worth checking it out. If you had that not long ago, you could have gotten in on the 25th anniversary forum knife talked about in Traditionals.

One of your finest Keyopp Keyopp , I know the effort it took. That belongs hanging in an Art Gallery buddy. ❤️👍

Absolutely beautiful photo!

Hear, hear!

Love everything about your pictures! Incredible.

Thank you gentlemen, I very much appreciate the kind words.

The Cobra Chickens were out in full force this morning. They were swimming back and forth like it was a cover shoot.

... pfft, art galleries would be lucky to get some of our BFC exclusives.😁
