EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Why give up everything and spend those extra three years you saved drooling and shitting in your pants in a geriatric ward.
Never smoked, rarely drank, smoked pot a few times. Played football and baseball as a kid, too poor to eat at Mcdonalds in the 80's. Age 11 brain tumor. By age 39--No appendix, no gall bladder, diabetic, liver transplant, cancer, two strokes. I'm 44, and haven't had a drop of alcohol since 2016. I've been through enough crap to try to be healthy, but my only vices are food and sitting on my butt for work.

Life screws with you no matter what you do, but personally, after what I've been through, I ain't gonna stir the pot. My grandma never smoked, drank, did drugs, always eats healthy, exercises--she's 88 and still walks a mile+ per day..

Half my family were alcoholics and smokers, some drug addicts, all died before 70. My uncle died at 46. I'll be 46 in a year and a half, and I hope to make it at least another 15.

Do what you wanna do, just don't be pissed at the consequences.

I've had it pretty good. I didn't even break a bone until I was in my 30s. Just a few dislocations from playing sports. I try to eat how I work; less if it's sedentary work. I've seen guys go from totally switched on soldiers to an institutionalized shell of their former selves after being hit by a truck. When you look at a cemetery, other than the ones who past away on palliative care, all of them had plans for the next day too.
