EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Case XX Sodbuster (~2005 vintage) in chrome-vanadium.

I recently went down the rabbit hole on sharpening -- I've struggled with freehand sharpening my whole life and finally decided I was going to learn how to do it if it was the last thing I do. Dug out all my knives to practice sharpening, and I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of it! (This site has turned up in many of my searches, and been very helpful, so thank you. I just joined yesterday.)

Anyway, this Sodbuster had been sitting in a drawer for probably 15 years after I took it saltwater fishing and it rusted out real bad. Put it on the belt sander to take off the barnacles and scale, then took it to my Norton India alox combo stone, DMT diamond plates, Spyderco medium ceramic and strop...and with very little time or effort, I got it to be scary sharp. Not pretty but my Lord does it cut, and it's easy to sharpen and holds an edge fairly well for what it is. Plus, unlike my unobtainium Spydercos, I'm not hesitant to actually use it.
Welcome to BladeForums, it seems like you'll fit in well here. Be warned, however, and run while you can: Joining BF causes a chronic condition which makes your collection multiply while simultaneously draining your bank account. I've tried all the ointments and tinctures but nothing cures it. RUN.

Ha! A vintage Case sodbuster and some mention of Spydercos?! Never mind their user name being one of the transition phases of carbon steel. We can neither help, nor harm (though we'll do our best).

Huh. Three Victorinox metal-scaled knives all today (Phantom357, Hyesouljah and BlindMouse2of3)...I believe I have the exact same knife.

Mine was almost razor sharp when I got it ~30 years ago, and I'm not sure I've ever done more than touch it up on some crock sticks, and it's still pretty darn sharp.
