Yeah, it’s overkill on the pics but it’s something I can’t seem to control. I think it’s an age thing….or maybe a medication-not-working-properly thing.

Anyway, I went with the AB “Gecko” for a Mammoth Monday. I honestly don’t know what makes some mammoth molar more desirable than others or how it’s graded, but I personally like seeing a fair amount of the semi-translucent, silvery bands running through it.

Riverhawk and claymore for terrific Tuesday.

The Carlyle knife I bought a few of (6) to take a look at the Christmas present quality for coworkers (non high dollar knife people). Compared 4 of them. Decently even grinds, D2 at (claimed) 58-60 HRC. Actually razor sharp out of the box. No stick on the lock. Locks don't fail from repeated spine hits (75 on a wooden work bench). Centered blade. PB washers with almost no play. Deep carry clip flexes more than I'd like but so far that's the worst of it. be interesting to see how they hold up.
