As I promised, daytime photographs of the Levashevsky Bakery.

Built in 1933. One of seven automatic factories designed and built by engineer Marsakov in the early 1930s.

Such a plant was capable of producing up to 300 tons of bakery products per day.

I will post a diagram of the plant's operation.

This is a vertical spiral conveyor. Flour, water and dry yeast arrive on the upper floor; on the lower floor, finished products are loaded for distribution around the city.

Now it is an exhibition gallery, bookstore and creative studios.
