EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I have been so tempted to get one of these but between the expense and the lack of utility for me, I satisfy myself with photos or the occasional visit to Sportsman's Warehouse to play with one for a couple minutes.

One of the cool things about the Infidel is its unique leaf spring deployment mechanism compared to say an Ultratech or most other OTFs that use a very similar setup with a shuttle and long coil springs. The later are easier to work on having less parts and a more commonly used design but i like that the Infidel is different. As far as utility it cuts similar to any other OTF in that regard although it is chisel ground on the sharpened edges. If you keep an eye out they can be had for far less than retail, either on sale or on the secondary market fairly often as they don't seem to hold their value that well, maybe since its an older model that's been out for many years. Its a cool OTF though and a bargain especially at those prices imo. (Less than a new Ultratech or a lot of times even a used one). The video below shows a full disassembly on a mini Infidel showcasing the mechanism.

And to keep this post on track I had the Police 4 on me today

Okay, so technically I can’t really say I “carried” this one today….but I did spend quite a bit of time with it. This big fella will be heading to our mountain home where it’ll be a little more comfortable in an EDC role. Not gonna lie, it looks a bit goofy paired with gym shorts and a tee.

Knives by AD (Adam Duszak) “Bull” #6 with mammoth tusk inlays, black hornbeam, brass and an Elmax blade.
