EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

We had a bit of a better day here with some sunshine and seasonable weather for Cape Cod in early December. The surrounding seawater that keeps us cooler til late summer keeps us a little warmer into winter, but there was a light on-shore wind with a little bite and I wished I'd worn a hat as I took my walk mid-day and pulled my hands up into my sleeves. I know lots of you are well into sub-freezing temps with piles of snow about, but us Capies will complain some about breezy high 30's this time of year.

Anyway, the sun ducked in a bit before setting and I managed a few pics of my Hudson Lightweight on the side of the woodshed around a Golden Hour that really wasn't. Its Cheburkathon Day 4, Knife 3 heading into a weekend set up to be fraught with knife consonance.

I really liked the look of the Hudson (Gudzon) on its initial release, then fell in love with the "custom" version of the model at Cheburkov's website, but didn't want to part with $950 for a knife that would have its looks spoiled by carry and use. When I saw this half-CF lightweight version for a very nice initial price at BTS I jumped all over this long, slim, and pointy beauty.

This is basically a long, straight knife, somewhat reminiscent of a Rainmaker, but drops and tapers some at both ends unlike the Olamic.

Alexandr's CF is some of the nicest out there, both for looks and feel, but I didn't capture it very well in this last pic-- the top one gives you a better idea of it and I'll put up some others over at the Cheburkov Channel shortly.

So I'm not normally big on stuff like this but a friend turned me on to this Sharpie Shell. It was cheap and came with a pack of Sharpies. I was running low so I said "what the heck". I ended up liking it more than I thought!

It just takes a regular Sharpie as a refill. The shape offers a big ergonomic boost for the little writing I do with a Sharpie. It also seems to hold the cap a lot more securely. While I think I only had a cap come off once or twice across several decades of having a Sharpie either in pocket or in a pack or bag, it wasn't fun when it happened.
