Hope all goes wellI wanted to treat myself to any easy day around the house as I'm checking into the hospital for a day-long medical procedure and likely overnight stay tomorrow. We got the lights on the tree, I brought in some firewood to keep the mass heater warm, made us a meal, and just kinda relaxed with a long hot shower, a challenging crossword, some favorite tunes, and a nice phone conversation with my sister.. Part of chilling out was picking a knife that I really love and enjoy from great number of mine that fit that criterion. Among many favorites are my two Shiro F95's and a pair of Cheburkov Scouts--four that are similar in size, type, and style, though each has its own particular characteristics that set it apart.
I settled on the one that's newest to me though it has a 2016 DOB. I'm something like the 5th owner and it's been around BF for a while having been kindly offered to me unsolicited by @mb> who got it from @Officer's Match. There's just something about this one that makes me feel good. It's a beautiful piece with great action, simple details, superb design/f&f, and just enough pizazz to make it special if not unique. It also has enough age and wear to make it a comfortable user, so it wasn't all fondling as I used it's 3.5 mm FFG Zladinox Dama blade to slay some cardboard boxes to help add to the warmth of our masonry heater.
Nice knife, nice day, and hopefully I'll be home soon all fixed up for a comfortable recuperation over holiday break.
