EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I don’t mind at all! I’m loving the history that these two pieces are making. :) So cool.

I 'm not sure I know the whole history of the knife. I think it was part of a fund raiser for an employee, and I missed out on it and called dibs. Then It was sold to me at a fair price because of said dibs. And now I've given it away to someone who has helped me out with my fibromyalgia (who has a 4 week waiting list to get in, so I have to book March appointments when I see him in Jan, and booked Feb when I saw him in December).

It was also DM’s first Boomerang (I had the pleasure of naming it) and also my first large sheath that turned out half decent. :)

So I finally got on the Ultem bandwagon. This stuff is actually pretty nice. It has a good feel in my hand. I also did some mods to this knife. I'm happy to report that Ultem sands nicely. Rounding over the crisp scale edges, I could have taken it to a finer grit for the looks but this was all about the comfort and mission accomplished. ✔️

Oh for just a little while I had the pleasure of owning something other than a folding knife sheath from you, and it was very nice with a very good fit.

Also for a while I owned a Boomerang, Midirang, Zoomerang, and Bittyrang all at the same time. I have no plans to get rid of any of the other three.

But the only reason I could part with the boomerang is because (1) not stainless and I have a thicker blade stock 8670 tanto for outdoor duty, and (2) I have a magnacut Prevail being made, and the main difference is the addition of a thumb ramp on the prevail.

Not carrying this right now, but this is one of two pawn shop rescue blurs that I use as work knives. Went to take a very nice photo of this very beat up knife for the duality of it :)
Sadly I cannot take credit for all the finish and blade wear, but I'm working the tanto into a spanto as it needs sharpening. The serrations have a tip broke off, but they still sharpen up alright.

Nice knife. Does not look good thru the windshield
Snow started at Midnight and is just stopping now. Official totals are not in but my guess is 13 inches in 16 hours. We still have 30+ MPH winds and 4-5 foot drifts with the wind picking up to 45 tonight.

There’s our reason or state motto is

Nebraska, it’s not for everyone.
