Happy sunday my friends. Got my Bugout, and my trusty Ti spoon/fork today. The Bugout is a dang good knife, I must say. It's expensive for the materials and components for sure, but once you have it, it's a great companion. This has been my main folder for when I'm camping. Super lightweight, and I can just not care about scratching the scales. I never liked plastic scales on knives, and always avoided them, however I'm starting to realize how nice it is to not worry one bit about scratches and dings.

It is a Jason Clark, I believe a Model 1. Tanto blade, flipper on bearings. It is the smoothest and easiest to open knife I own. I was fortunate to be able to purchase it from Jason at Blade 2023, and it was a pleasure to meet him. The grind and attention to detail are excellent.

It looks spectacular! Thanks for the info and photos. Also, I love finding out about knife makers I've never heard of on BF.

... and back to snow. I've got this TwoSun in pocket today. With Ultem taking off, why not try a textured clear acrylic?

One hiccup here is that when excess oil is between the metal and the acrylic, it looks gross. Since TwoSun drenches their knives in oil for international shipping, I quickly took this one apart and cleaned it up. Now it is much better but if you can see, I missed some oil inside the screw wells, especially along the back spacer. It seeped out when I put the knife back together and I just couldn't be bothered.

I'll get it when I take the knife apart again. I'm wondering what will happen if I try to dye the clear acrylic...
