Agree about the scales. The stock ones are great and do everything needed. I've had titanium scales and carbon fiber and honestly enjoy the stock scale more.Happy sunday my friends. Got my Bugout, and my trusty Ti spoon/fork today. The Bugout is a dang good knife, I must say. It's expensive for the materials and components for sure, but once you have it, it's a great companion. This has been my main folder for when I'm camping. Super lightweight, and I can just not care about scratching the scales. I never liked plastic scales on knives, and always avoided them, however I'm starting to realize how nice it is to not worry one bit about scratches and dings.

I seem to have fallen into something of a pattern with my Sunday duties as site director for our local youth basketball club's home games. I just don't get a chance for pics during the day, it's usually dark or almost so when I get home, I'm pretty bushed when there, just kick back in my chair around supper, watch football, and never get to posting.
So.... much as I have recently I carry the same knife both Sunday and Monday and post here for two days. I wasn't a big fan of the color scheme of the Griptilian's -1 series on initial release, but I did get my wife a 550-1 after a while, and the more I saw it the more I liked it. I had a 551-1702 that I gifted to my buddy and filled that slot with a 551-1 from the Exchange. This is the only one of my 6 Grips with "stock" scales as it comes just I'd want with a non-Noryl handle, open back construction, and a quality steel in 20CV. I even like the color scheme now.

hmmm ... has lanyard whole ... maybe this is "better" for neck carry?
Wattchew think? Exposed, or in the pouch/slip?

Something very nice obscured by the knives, which are also nice
It reminds me of an Oeser flipper...I 100% agree when you say that the action is extremely smooth on your Jason Clark, on mine it starts with a firm detent loading up before the bearings kick in. Smooth as silk opening and closing, with nice grinds. I don’t what model I have, got mine at Blade in 2012.

Good photo to recycle!Recycling an old picture, but the 15V Manix has been in my pocket all day after getting home. I made it home this morning for the first time since Thursday (had to stay in the city to make it to work due to blizzard conditions over the past few days). Luckily, my driveway was cleared and the road to my place was opened up (long story short, rural small town connections sometimes pay off) and the power had been restored before all my pipes froze. So I celebrated by being a lazy pile all day.

Some impressive drifts. Maybe tomorrow I'll get out and look around, roads should be much more well opened up by then.

Ha! There's surprisingly little use for one around here. Most folks that own them here take trips to Wyoming or other mountain states to use them.Good photo to recycle!
Also, I’m surprised their isn’t a brappin’ sled in the back of that pickup!
Brrrrrrrrraaaaap!!!
Well that’s a bummer. We just got slammed with almost 2 feet of powder, so I’m hoping to get out sleddin’ soon!Ha! There's surprisingly little use for one around here. Most folks that own them here take trips to Wyoming or other mountain states to use them.
