Nice!
Did you wear the etching off the companion?
I can see you with a new Sydney or Paris model![]()
Is that the Caly 3.5? I handled one a few weeks ago and again a few days after that. I figure one or two more trips to the local dealer should pretty much do it…Two screaming sharp edges for Thursday:

Good idea looks like it is worn off. Thanks! I actually sanded it off on a whim the other night, then put a coat of finish on it (Osmo). It wasn't too deep so it wasn't that difficult. While I was trying to not sand the emblem I got the idea to leave the mountains near the top, so that's why it looks worn off. Kind of a misty mountain look, which is fitting for me.
And you know me well, The Sydney model in particular has indeed caught my eye. I think I'm gonna hold off though and see if they just drop a standard model, then swap some other scales onto it that I have in mind. I think this Companion is going to become a favorite of mine. Besides the cool new package opener tool, it's also one of the only Victorinox SAK's to have both scissors and the fingernail file on the same knife.
Is that a PW Universal Soldier on the right? Thats a cool looking profile.Carried these 2 today…
Kidding…but I just wanted to post the photo since I had it out.

Is the blade Elmax or something else? It’s got a modern/classic vibe going on.Nailed it! Love this blade so far. He is a pleasure to deal with. I recommend!
Yes. Elmax. I actually have come to like Elmax in a bigger blade. Never thought I would. I have another larger blade in Elmax from TFK and it has held up extremely well on my backcountry trips. Is the blade Elmax or something else? It’s got a modern/classic vibe going on.

What is the package opener like? i am liking the tool set up on thwm.
Yes, sir. It's a fantastic light little cutter, and with its deep carry clip (albeit a wire one, not my favorite Spyderco clip admittedly), it disappears in a pocket. Is that the Caly 3.5?
