I'm nowhere near that far south. Had a permit for him - raised him from a farmed baby. Turned him over when I left the state; didn't feel right about asking for him back when I returned. Used to go visit a couple times/year - he always recognized me. I felt awful when I heard he'd died

I did a few household chores this morning, organized and disposed of some over-accumulated paperwork, and worked at my desk a bit, but mostly had a relaxing, easy Sunday, reading, doing the crossword, and watching the Celts crush the Warriors on TV this afternoon. I was lazy, too, about getting any pics of today's carry but dug a couple out my files that I don't think I've used here before.

The old lever lock. Obviously someone thought it was a good idea. Its got a nice hollow grind and the checkering on the paper micarta(?) is very well done and grippy.

I love all kinds of animals. Gators are very curious species when young. I used to seat at the edge of the pond behind my house,
watching the one that used to live there, diving and popping up left and right, checking me out, but always at the same safe radius.
If you don't intend to have them as a pets, better not feed them anything, they'll go after pray out of the water when grow little bit...

Can you tell us anything about where it was made and maker or company? Stainless or carbon. I like these kind of simple, utilitarian knives.

Edited: Looked a little, made in Portugal, very similar to MAM, stainless and carbon steel.
